Every feature gets tested behind the wheel on the roads of southern Thailand. Anything that gets in the way of driving comes out of the app.
Places are announced ahead of time, with a direction: right, left, straight on. Temples, viewpoints, waterfalls, caves and national parks, plus gas stations, ATMs, hospitals and police. All from our own database: about 130,000 places across Thailand in 27 categories.
Thai names are read the way locals actually say them: Wat Khao Or instead of วัดเขาอ้อ. Towns and villages are announced as you enter them, along with their population.
Enter a destination and choose how to go: fastest, off the highway, or avoiding toll roads. Leave the route, and the voice will say so and recalculate. Arrive, and it'll say that too.
Like a spot, press and hold it on the map: a red pin saves it and picks up its own name. Your trip track stays on the map, and you can always get back to a saved point.
You decide what gets mentioned: temples and views always, shops and gas stations if you want them. Uncheck a box, and the announcer goes quiet on that topic. Voice, language and announcer gender are also up to you.
At 10, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 kilometers, the app hands out a badge and says congratulations out loud. Days of driving in a row build into a streak.
Samui, Phangan, Krabi, Phatthalung. The announcer tells you where the viewpoint and the waterfall are, so you don't have to stop every five minutes to check the map.
Bangkok, Hua Hin, Phuket, Chiang Mai. A long drive stops being silence: towns, parks, temples and gas stations get called out along the way, and passengers have something to ask about.
The familiar road to work, or to Makro, hides a temple you've never stopped at and a market you never knew about. The app tells you about it along the way, then marks it on the map.

Yes. The map, place database and live voice come from our server; a regular mobile connection is enough. If the signal drops mid-drive, the app picks announcements back up once it's back.
